Estimates, not quotes

Every shop and DIY cost on this site is an estimate built from a single labor-rate assumption and typical parts pricing — not a quote from any specific shop. Actual rates vary by location, vehicle condition, and shop. Use these numbers to negotiate or plan, not as a guaranteed price.

Not repair instructions

We publish cost, parts, tools, and (where available) a link to someone else's video walkthrough — never our own step-by-step procedure, and never for safety-critical systems (brakes, steering, suspension, fuel, airbags). This site is not a substitute for a repair manual, a qualified mechanic, or your own judgment about what you're capable of doing safely.

Part fitment is your responsibility

We verify OEM and cross-reference part numbers by hand, but vehicles vary by trim, build date, and options. Where a part varies by VIN, we say so — always confirm fitment yourself (Amazon's "Confirm this fits" tool, your VIN, or your parts counter) before ordering or installing anything.

No warranty

This site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that any estimate, part number, or video link is error-free or current at the moment you read it — verification dates are shown, and content is re-checked on a schedule, but mistakes can happen. Report one to keepthelabor@gmail.com and we'll fix it.

Limitation of liability

Keep The Labor is not liable for any damage, injury, or cost arising from repairs you perform, parts you order, or decisions you make based on content on this site. Vehicle repair, especially anything involving brakes, steering, suspension, fuel, or airbags, carries real risk — if you're not confident, see a professional.
